How To Make Dry Ice Bombs

Bombs? You're going to tell us how to make bombs?

You mean as in blowing things up? Nope, that is highly illegal. All I'm going to do is show you some videos of plastic bottles.

Will I get in trouble for doing this?  I don't know.  You certainly could.  Do you have a bunch of liberal, scaredy cat neighbors that call the police at the slightest provocation?  I would hope that the government guys have better things to do than to chase down a bunch of kids playing with plastic bottles. If they do come around, you could always just tell them that you're working on a "science project" for school.

But anyway, I don't need to tell you how to do this because youtube is full of videos showing how to do this. Videos such as-

This can be dangerous and you should not attempt to do this. If you do, then the responsibility is yours and yours alone and if you get hurt it's your own stupid fault.

If you do decide to do this, be at least a little bit smart about it.  Be sure and put the lid on tight or you're just wasting your time.  Wearing leather gloves is a smart idea. Wearing eye protection is in even smarter idea.  Usually the bottle will start making creaking and popping noises and sometimes it takes a few minutes until the bottle blows, do not be impatient and walk up next to it. And for god's sake, do not put the dry ice and the water in the bottle, screw the lid on and then hold the thing. When it blows that plastic turns into shrapnel and could easily tear up your hand, your face or your eyes. If you do get impatient and think that a bottle is not going to blow, stay away from it and shoot it with a BB gun. It will still be very loud.

And, youtube being what it is, there are also videos of guys doing this very stupidly. One guy almost gets his hand blown off. Don't be him.
